An annual battery change has long been the standard for a homeowners solution to addressing their smoke detectors. Fire Guys will do this for you annually and save you numerous trips up and down ladders. In addition to the battery change we will also do a service and sensitivity test. A service test will insure that your detectors are communicating with each other the way they were designed to do. A sensitivity test will provide you with the comfort of knowing that your detectors are as efficient as you expect them to be. The sensitivity test is performed with simulated smoke and is an accurate measure of your detector’s performance. Smoke detectors are reduced to 30% of their intended efficiency after 8-10 years.
